While working as a CPA in account management and consulting, I decided to pursue my true passion - design! I earned my B.A. in Interior Design from Marymount University, while continuing my full-time work. I had the opportunity to work closely with some of the most sought-after designers in the Washington, D.C. area, including Jean Higgins of Inside Out Interiors (Washington Design Center Designer Hall of Fame) and Lisa Bartolomei of Bartolomei & Co.
Shortly thereafter I decided it was time to establish my own design firm. My accounting and business background has served me well not only in running my own company, but in managing to client budgets, overseeing project details and contractor and vendor communication.
I have worked as an interior designer for over 15 years. I pride myself on assessing spaces and executing beautiful design solutions to meet clients’ aesthetic and functional requirements.
Perhaps because of my financial and accounting roots, I am often especially qualified to solve the sometimes difficult analytical issues that arise during the design process around space planning, scale and proportion and minute details.
I listen carefully to my client’s goals, aspirations, challenges and concerns so that I can provide a beautiful, functional design that works with their lifestyle and aesthetic. Collaboration is a two way street, I always learn new things from my clients, which we then meld together to create a uniquely designed plan for their space.
