  • At the beginning of every engagement, I conduct an initial phone consultation for us to discuss your project, design goals, and current pain points. This initial consultation assists me in determining the scope of your project in order to provide you with an initial estimate of the engagement hours and the related fees.

  • Yes, current project investment minimums are $5,000 per room for design services with a one-room minimum (see question above).

  • Below is a breakdown of the pricing structure during the course of a typical design project.

  • Yes, I love to design outdoor living areas such as gazebos, patios, verandas. and outdoor kitchens.

  • Lead times depend on my current schedule and current projects, the scale of the projects I have on my waitlist, and your specific project parameters. I recommend scheduling a time to discuss your particular project in detail, and then I can give you an estimate of when we can start your project.

  • Discovery:
    First you’ll complete our Getting To Know You questionnaire to assess your goals and design aesthetics.

    Design:
    Then, using the information gathered during Discovery, the design and space planning process begins.

    Discussion And Refinement:
    The design concept is presented and we collaborate and refine it so that together we find the perfect solution for you. We move through the design concept together – it’s not necessarily the final plan.

  • Yes, I have established relationships with reputable vendors for sourcing all furnishings and fixtures. Sourcing directly with CJD allows my clients to leverage our preferred to-the-trade pricing.

  • I coordinate and work with other design professionals involved with your project including architects, contractors, builders, and the trades. Furnishings purchased through CJD are managed at all points of the order placement, tracking, expediting, vendor and client reporting.

  • I have excellent contractors I work with on a regular basis and would love to work with them on your project.

  • Yes, I am happy to work with and collaborate with your contractor.

  • This depends on the scope of the project and what is purchased. Everyone involved: designer, client, vendors and contractors are expected to not cause unreasonable delays in the project.

  • Having a clear budget is very important for the project running smoothly and for your expectations to be met. We will work inside your budget parameters, but ultimately it is up to the Client to keep themselves on budget.

  • As the Founder and Principal Designer, I thoughtfully develop every aspect of your design. My process is personal: I am hands-on and work in a close, collaborative exchange with you throughout the design process.
