“If you are looking for an Interior Designer, look no further. Cathy Connon is the best. She treats every project whether small, medium or large with the same attention to detail, over-the-top ideas and designs that just WOW! The best of the best!!”
My Design Philosophy
I'm passionate about transforming spaces in ways that speak to your individual vision, needs, and personality. That's why I integrate my clients into every aspect of the design process—from initial vision to honing details to final execution. Even with the multiple players that can be involved in the design and installation process, no one's voice is more important than yours.
I am committed to us discovering a "design story" for your project that reflects the way you want to feel in this space. Do you envision an outdoor pavilion that allows you and your family to decompress and spend quality time together? A living room addition that oozes comfort and spaciousness? Maybe you need a boutique or business space that evokes polish and professionalism.
Whether you’re looking for on-site support or safe-at-a-distance virtual services, I’m confident that we can make a plan that works for your needs. Whatever your vision is, it's my job to make that a reality.
“Cathy designed several commercial and residential projects for me. She has a flair for design, listens to you as her client, and then executes. I feel she was sensitive to budget constraints and keeps her ego out of the equation.”
My role as a designer centers on helping you create an aesthetic vision for your space and then collaborating with your project team (builder, architect, contractors) to facilitate execution.
My design approach can be applied to:
+ New construction - including house additions and outdoor spaces
+ Renovations & remodeling projects
+ Space planning
+ Whole-room makeovers

Our work together happens in 3 steps.
Step 1
Communicate
The most important part of my job is fully understanding your vision for your space. This involves brainstorming sessions, visual presentations of design options, and sharing and building on ideas until we create a highly personalized plan that embodies your unique aesthetic. We also discuss budget and ways to ensure your project hits all the right notes while remaining feasible for you. The goal is to come out of this stage with a concrete, realistic plan for moving forward, one that reflects our shared vision for your space.
Step 2
Collaborate
At this stage, I collaborate with you and your team (including architects, builders, contractors, and artisans) to ensure we're all aligned on your vision and the steps necessary to execute that vision. Acting as a design liaison, I review architectural drawings and design sketches, and work with the team on a cohesive action plan. We collaborate on the details of your project, covering a wide range of topics, including scale and proportion, timeline, budget, and the minutiae of successful execution.
Step 3
Create
The final step is putting our detailed plan into action. Through ongoing collaboration and check-ins with you and the design team, we will execute your project in as timely and thorough a manner as possible. The end result will be the culmination of our shared vision, a space that encompasses your aspirations, taste, and lifestyle. Beyond just your enjoyment of this new space, my hope is that you will take pride in knowing you were an integral part of your project’s design and creation.

A Note About Engagement Fees
Every design project is personal, and I take a holistic approach to design, looking at how each space supports the way you live rather than treating rooms in isolation. My focus is on full-service interior design projects, guiding you from concept through installation for renovations, new construction, and whole-home transformations. After our initial consultation, once we’ve defined the scope together, I’ll provide a clear estimate of engagement fees and related costs so you know what to expect.
